WTC Path Terminal
The World Trade Center PATH Terminal provides access to the PATH trains connecting New York and New Jersey. The WTC PATH project is the replacement to the previous WTC PATH Terminal that was lost during September 11th.
Fire Engineering work for this project involved the development of the initial fire and life safety strategy and review of building code requirements for the initial redevelopment planning at the WTC site, and on-going support through the various design developments of this Terminal designed by Santiago Calatrava. This strategy addressed various fire/life safety requirements including egress, detection and alarm systems, suppression systems, smoke management systems and other related fire safety systems.
Work also included various fire hazard assessments, computer fire simulation modelling with regards to the performance of the smoke management system.
