Dedicated in 1886, and designated a National Monument in 1924, the Statue of Liberty stands at the entrance to the gateway to the United States.  In looking to further understand evacuation times from not only the Statue, but also from the entire Island, detailed evacuation studies were undertaken.  These looked at numerous scenarios, occupant characteristics and egress configurations to obtain further insight to assist the client in making further risk-informed decisions regarding protection of the Statue.
